Matthew Kuriloff began his career supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) at East End Disability Associates (EEDA) thirteen years ago. In 2014, Matthew was awarded DSP of the Year for the state of New York by National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals & American Network of Community Options and Resources . As a frontline supervisor for Day Habilitation, he had the honor of combining his background in theatre with his passion for direct support by co-founding a unique Creative Arts Program that teaches life skills through the creative and preforming arts. Since 2015, Matthew has served as a Self-Advocacy adviser at EEDA. Matthew’s advocacy work included the development of PrideAbility, a DDPC initiative that connected and inspired inclusive LGBTQIA+ support groups throughout New York State. Matthew completed his MBA in executive leadership in 2019 and currently serves as Data Quality Manager for EEDA. Matthew is a regular member of the NY Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation Statewide Conference Committee and is proud to have been appointed as Co-chair of the upcoming 2022 Virtual Conference.
